The goal of the PTSO?s Social Committee is to help you get to
know all the amazing people, kids and adults, here at McCarthy-Towne.
The Classroom Parent Potlucks are a wonderful tradition at McT. Each classroom is asked to organize an informal gathering such as a potluck dinner at someone’s home, dinner at a local restaurant, or a gathering on a weekend at a local park. These events are traditionally adult only to give the grown ups time to get to know each other, but kids may be included if this is what the class chooses. Each class can choose to host its own event or they can opt to join together with the other classes in the grade and plan a large, grade-wide, event. Potlucks typically happen in the fall, but any time of the year is a great time to get together with old friends and have a chance to meet new ones. If you are interested in helping to coordinate one for your child’s class or just want more information, please contact Tracey Smith.
